We have 2016 volunteer opportunities for engaging young voters in their communities. We need dedicated community minded volunteers with good ideas and creative energy!
As you are aware, 2016 will be a big election year, both nationally and locally. In addition to the Presidential race where we have two excellent candidates in Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton! Locally we will have elections for Congress, our candidate John Plumb has a military background and has worked on national Security. He is an outstanding candidate. For State Senate we have an excellent candidate in Lessie Danks Burke. Our Candidate for County Clerk is Kate Hughes who has done an excellent job as our Current Chemung County Clerk!
We will need many volunteers to help in all of these races, so please feel free to contact me if you are interested in helping us support our Democratic candidates.
In addition, if you have any interest in joining the County Committee or would like to check us out , our next meeting is 7 PM on Wednesday March 9th at the Sheet Metal Workers Hall-1200 Clemens Center Parkway (across from Wegman’s in Elmira). No prior notice is necessary. John Plumb Candidate for The 23rd Congressional district will be in attendance.
